In a single space, 2,200 years of history overlap: Roman walls (1st c. BC), Lombard, medieval and Renaissance layers. Named after a terracotta frieze depicting putti riding dolphins. Every visit includes a guided tour (~40 min) and an 8-minute film about Lucca's origins.

For the Puccini Museum: buy your ticket at Piazza Cittadella 5 before going to the museum entrance at Corte San Lorenzo 9.

The National Museums combined ticket (Villa Guinigi + Palazzo Mansi, € 6.50) is valid for 3 days.

The Domus Romana is closed on Tuesdays. Guided tour is always included.
